Effective communications, whether in print or on a website, depend on appearance as well as content. Effective graphic design is more important than ever. People are bombarded with communications. Magazines and newspapers are crowded with ads. Mailboxes—for both regular mail and email—are stuffed with newsletters, catalogs, and direct-mail solicitations.

It’s clear that your message faces stiff competition. This makes it important that your message be as effective and appealing as possible.

First impressions last. Effective graphic design can favorably predispose people to be open to your product, service, or point of view.

Think about your experience as a reader and consumer:

These are examples of you using your inherent sense of design to screen messages you receive: effective designs are getting your attention while ineffective ones are ignored.

Good design can make or break great copy. Tell me about your project so we can work together to make sure your message gets noticed.

Putting me to work on your project

Step 1: Request a quote

Request a quote so I can provide you with the price to complete your project. Pricing for services I’m often asked for can be found in the Schedule of Estimated Fees (for design & typesetting).

All services include high-resolution print-ready PDF files. You just need to let me know, before I begin work on your project, how you plan to have your project printed—digitally (such as laser printers found in most offices or large-volume laser printers found at places such as Kinko’s) or offset press (such as those in traditional printshops).

Please give me as much information as you can about your project.

Step 2: The Deposit

A 50% deposit will be required to add your project to the production schedule. Due to the large number of quote requests and the amount of projects I book, it is necessary to weed out those not sersious about paying for document design and typesetting services.

Deposits can be paid with a PayPal account or credit card.

The remaining 50% of the quote is required before print-ready PDF files will be released.

Step 3: The Creation Process

This is the process where your project goes from idea to a finished document, ready for digital or offset printing.

I will provide you with proofs along the way. This allows you to see that your project is progressing according to the specifications you provide before work actually begins.

Step 4: Finishing Up

Once everything is approved I’ll send an invoice for the remaining balance. Once the remaining balance is received, your high-resolution, print-ready PDF file(s) will be emailed to you. You can then forward the file(s) to your print vendor.
