ASSIGNMENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Here are some numbers to help you get a feel for what it would cost to work with me to create custom, content-specific images. This can help you plan your budget for creative services.
Creative Fee: $630 per day
This fee does not include travel expenses or rental of additional equipment needed to complete a project. One-third of the creative fee plus estimated billable expenses is required to book the shoot in my schedule. The remainder of the creative fee (plus any additional costs incurred in completing the assignment) are due at the time of the photo shoot.
Travel Time Fee: $160 per day
This fee applies to travel of 50 miles or more from Loma Linda, California.
Billable Expenses:
These are expenses incurred in the process of completing an assignment. They include (but are not limited to):
Weather Delay Fee: $208 per day
Weather can play a role in outdoor on-location assignments. This fee applies for days waiting for weather to pass or for specific weather to occur.
Postponements / Cancellations:
In the event of a postponement or cancellation by a client, reimbursement of my creative fee and travel time is shown in the following table. In addition, all sums expended by me in support of the assignment, up to the time of the postponement/cancellation, are reimbursable in full.

Assignment photography on a tight budget
Okay. So you need assignment photography because stock images just won’t do. Only problem is, your budget won’t allow it.
Because I am mainly a stock photographer, I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to expand my stock photo files. Images I’m always interested in are lifestyle photographs — photos of people, both in a work setting and in recreational activities.
Here’s the deal…
If images from your assignment fill needs in my stock photo files, I will shoot your assignment with a creative fee reduced as much as 50% — maybe more.
To sweeten the deal, there will be no travel time or weather delay fees either. All you pay for are any billable expenses for items and services needed to complete your project.
After the assignment is complete, you can choose from any of the images to use in your project. There will be no additional costs for licensing any of the chosen images.
What’s the catch?
In return, I require only three things.
Does this offer interest you? Then shoot me an email. Let’s talk and see if your photography project would be a fit for this offer.
Digital Post Processing: $75 per image selected for use by client.
This charge is applied to images you choose for final use. Each image file will be digitally processed for color, brightness, and contrast.
CD/DVD Burning: $30 per CD
Reference Prints: $15 per 4"x6" print (standard photographic paper)
Viewing photographs on computer displays are usually not a good way to judge things such as color. Most computer monitors are not calibrated (color space and gamma settings) to display colors close to how they appear when printed. If you need to have a good feel for how a photograph will look in printed form, a reference print will be helpful.
